Our mission at Voorwood continues to be the design, manufacture, and sale of labor-saving machinery for wood and packaging products, priced reasonably and built with functional simplicity to a consistent high-quality standard.
Company Profile
Voorwood Company is ISO 9001:2015 certified producing quality machinery since 1961. Ted and Jerry Voorhees, our founders, had an extensive background in wood products manufacturing. They owned and operated molding and millwork plants before beginning to build machinery on a commercial scale. This is why they knew firsthand the need for reliable, precision-built machinery. This is the experience that Voorwood employees continue to build on to this day. There is no substitute for this experience as a basis for equipment design.

With the labor market so tight and labor costs continually rising, we had to find a solution to eliminate as much labor as possible while staying within the same footprint of our space.
On top of the labor constraints, we needed a tooling solution that could improve edge quality so machine sanding would work and meet the demands of our clients. Voorwood helped us figure it out and stayed with us until the solution was fully realized. What a refreshing place to be.
